Asheville, North Carolina
Asheville, North Carolina is one of those little places your really glad exists. It’s a combination of the Nimbin (Australia) art scene meets the laid-backness of Byron Bay but in the middle of the mountains.
Everywhere you look, there is art.
From outside…
… to inside the shops.
It’s pretty much a town with an emphasis on freedom of creativity.
Yeah, that double decker bus is a cafe. … and that’s an iron.
… bicycles are common modes of transportation.
Bicycles also act as bars here, too.
The photo that i did fail to get was a nun on a bicycle. Actually, it was a guy in drag dressed as a nun on a bicycle. But aside from all the freaky stuff, it really is a stunning town.
It’s a town where people still dress up to go out for dinner. It’s really great to see that sort of respect for the area.
And Asheville is still a place that you can wear a rainbow wig during dinner and no one would bat an eye. There is also a very large craft beer scene to check out too.
There’s so much to do in and around Asheville, it’s really worth the visit.
